GAIL Donates Advanced Life Support Ambulance to Sankar Foundation, March 22 2025
Gas Authority of India Ltd (GAIL) donated an advanced Life Support Ambulance to Sankar Foundation for their CSR initiative to support health care services.
The ambulance procured at a cost of Rs.27.50 lakhs, was formally handed over to Sankar Foundation by Sri LS Rao, Chief GM, (Visakha Secunderabad (Pipwe Line), GAIL in the presence of Sri MVS Murthy, GM (O&M Pipe Line), GAIL. On the occasion, Sri K Radhakrishnan, GM; Sri V Ramesh Kumar, DGM (PC & CR); K Bangar Raju, DGM (PR), Sankar Foundation were present along with other officials of GAIL and Sankar Foundation.
Sri LS Rao said that Sankar Foundation is always known for the services being extended to society and the needy people in combating avoidable blindness in this region. He assured that GAIL would continue to support Sankar Foundation in its journey toward achieving avoidable blindness.
Sri MVS Murthy stated that the donation of the ambulance is yet another testament to their ongoing support and partnership with Sankar Foundation.
Sri A Krishna Kumar, Managing Trustee, and Sri K Radhakrishnan, GM, Sankar Foundation expressed their gratitude to GAIL for generously donating the state-of-the-art ambulance. Sri Stephen Patta DGM, Sri Madan Ku Lade, Chief Manager (HR), Sri A Kiran, Manager (Finance),  Sri B Srinivas, Sri Santosh Kumar, Sri B Ramesh Babu and other members of CSR from GAIL participated.





( Late) Dr. Kumar studied Law and Economics at the Andhra University, Visakhapatnam and Chennai. He was a Chartered Accountant of repute with offices in Visakhapatnam, Hyderabad and Chennai.




Smt. K. Mani Mala is a postgraduate holding an MBA. She started her career as a founder faculty of one of the first management colleges in Visakhapatnam, viz. Indian Institute of Advanced Management. She worked with East India Petroleum Limited as its first employee and as Executive Assistant to the Managing Director. She was also associated in establishing the Joint Venture with M/s SHV Energy of Netherlands as General Manager (MIS). During her tenure she was also associated with other group companies such as 16 MW & 450 MW gas-based power projects in AP and 16 MW & 100 MW hydel power plants in Himachal Pradesh.
