Sankar Foundation conducts a Unique Art Competition on for School Children Eye Health
True to its spirit of creating awareness among the school children on eye health, Sankar Foundation Eye Hospital, Madhurawada Branch conducted a unique art competition for students of various schools at Madhurawada branch on Saturday, 8 July 2023.
The school children were given a dummy frame lens which came along with spectacles to paint on, which otherwise would be useless. The art work competition was organized under the leadership of Mrs Usha Atmakuri, In-charge of Sankar Foundation Eye Hospital, Madhurawada.
The students actively participated with an innovative zeal and created interesting art work. Dr Sowjanya, Dr Sravya of Sankar Foundation explained to the students about some important pointers on how to take care of their eyes and eye health as the modern students are computer oriented in their daily life.
Mrs Jaya Narasimha judged the art work and explained how to de stress with zentangle, one of the painting forms. The dignitaries distributed prizes and certificates to the winners of the competition.





( Late) Dr. Kumar studied Law and Economics at the Andhra University, Visakhapatnam and Chennai. He was a Chartered Accountant of repute with offices in Visakhapatnam, Hyderabad and Chennai.




Smt. K. Mani Mala is a postgraduate holding an MBA. She started her career as a founder faculty of one of the first management colleges in Visakhapatnam, viz. Indian Institute of Advanced Management. She worked with East India Petroleum Limited as its first employee and as Executive Assistant to the Managing Director. She was also associated in establishing the Joint Venture with M/s SHV Energy of Netherlands as General Manager (MIS). During her tenure she was also associated with other group companies such as 16 MW & 450 MW gas-based power projects in AP and 16 MW & 100 MW hydel power plants in Himachal Pradesh.
