Sankar Foundation in association with L & T launches Free Eye Screening camp in Gajuwaka ZP High School
Sankar Foundation Eye Hospital & Institute, Naidu tota, Visakhapatnam in association with L & T, Visakhapatnam under their CSR drive launched an eye screening camp for the students of ZP High School in Gajuwaka on 20 July 2023.
The free eye camp was conducted for four days to screen 1769 students of Gajuwaka High School.
Sri KV Subba Rao, Joint General Manager, L&T, Visakhapatnam inaugurated the eye camp.
Speaking on the occasion, Sri Subba Rao praised the services of Sankar Foundation to society in eliminating avoidable blindness, particularly to the student community of the high school.
Sri E Srinivasa Rao, CSR Head, RK Rao, CSR executive from L&T, V Ramesh Kumar, DGM, N Appala Raju, Senior Manager from Sankar Foundation, Janardhan, In-charge HM, Gajuwaka and others were present on the occasion. Sankar Foundation will provide spectacles, medicines to the students free of cost.
( Late) Dr. Kumar studied Law and Economics at the Andhra University, Visakhapatnam and Chennai. He was a Chartered Accountant of repute with offices in Visakhapatnam, Hyderabad and Chennai.
Smt. K. Mani Mala is a postgraduate holding an MBA. She started her career as a founder faculty of one of the first management colleges in Visakhapatnam, viz. Indian Institute of Advanced Management. She worked with East India Petroleum Limited as its first employee and as Executive Assistant to the Managing Director. She was also associated in establishing the Joint Venture with M/s SHV Energy of Netherlands as General Manager (MIS). During her tenure she was also associated with other group companies such as 16 MW & 450 MW gas-based power projects in AP and 16 MW & 100 MW hydel power plants in Himachal Pradesh.
