Teaching Faculty of Sankar Foundation Awarded
Two teaching faculty members of Sankar Foundation Eye Hospital, Prof. Pallem Krishna Prasad, Director, Medical Education and Dr T Raveendra, Director, Continuous Quality Improvement & Research and HOD Glaucoma Dept were recently recognized for their dedication to ophthalmic education.
Prof. Pallem Krishna Prasad received the ‘Outstanding Performance Teaching Faculty Award’. The prestigious award was presented to him at the “Medical Teachers’ Day Event 2024” held in Visakhapatnam on 21st December 2024 at the Association of National Board Accredited Institutions (the ANBAI Andhra Pradesh & Telangana State , AP & TS Chapters).
While Dr T Raveendra was conferred with the “Outstanding Ophthalmic Teacher of India Award” by the Federation of Ophthalmic Teachers of India (FOTI) at their national assembly held at PG Institute of India, Chandigarh on 11th January.
Dr Raveendra was among 75 teachers from across the country who were recognised for their contribution to teaching post-graduate students and Fellows in Ophthalmology.





( Late) Dr. Kumar studied Law and Economics at the Andhra University, Visakhapatnam and Chennai. He was a Chartered Accountant of repute with offices in Visakhapatnam, Hyderabad and Chennai.




Smt. K. Mani Mala is a postgraduate holding an MBA. She started her career as a founder faculty of one of the first management colleges in Visakhapatnam, viz. Indian Institute of Advanced Management. She worked with East India Petroleum Limited as its first employee and as Executive Assistant to the Managing Director. She was also associated in establishing the Joint Venture with M/s SHV Energy of Netherlands as General Manager (MIS). During her tenure she was also associated with other group companies such as 16 MW & 450 MW gas-based power projects in AP and 16 MW & 100 MW hydel power plants in Himachal Pradesh.
