Courses We Offer
Fellowship Programme
This is the two year long Fellowship Programme meant for Ophthalmologists who have completed their Post-Graduation (MS/DNB) to get acquainted with Clinical and Surgical procedures in Ophthalmic Sub-Specialties viz. Comprehensive Ophthalmology, Anterior Segment, Vitreo Retina, Glaucoma, Cornea, Paediatric Ophthalmology, Orbit & Occuloplasty
DNB
A Two/Three-year Ophthalmology Specialty Course recognized by National Board of Examinations, New Delhi. The selection and allocation of admission will be through Centralized Counselling by NBE during January Session. The eligibility for the course will be through NEET examination conducted for Post MBBS candidates by Medical Council.
Diploma Courses
Diploma in Ophthalmic Assistant, Diploma in Optometry Technician are the two year diploma courses recognised by Andhra Pradesh State Allied and Healthcare Professions Council. A total 30 seats in each course were allocated and the admissions will be done through centralized counselling by DM&HO
B.Sc (Optometry)
A Three Year + One Year (Internship) programme recognised by Dr. YSR University of Health Sciences, Vijayawada. The eligibility for the course is through Centralised Counseling by University
Vocational Courses
Two-year Vocational Training Course in Multi-Purpose Health Workers, Ophthalmic Technician and Skill India, Regional Directorate of Skill Development & Entrepreneurship (DESDE).
Smt. K. Mani Mala is a postgraduate holding an MBA. She started her career as a founder faculty of one of the first management colleges in Visakhapatnam, viz. Indian Institute of Advanced Management. She worked with East India Petroleum Limited as its first employee and as Executive Assistant to the Managing Director. She was also associated in establishing the Joint Venture with M/s SHV Energy of Netherlands as General Manager (MIS). During her tenure she was also associated with other group companies such as 16 MW & 450 MW gas-based power projects in AP and 16 MW & 100 MW hydel power plants in Himachal Pradesh.
( Late) Dr. Kumar studied Law and Economics at the Andhra University, Visakhapatnam and Chennai. He was a Chartered Accountant of repute with offices in Visakhapatnam, Hyderabad and Chennai.
