Sankar Foundation organizes Workshop on Clinical Updates in Ophthalmology
Sankar Foundation Eye Hospital, Naiduthota, Visakhapatnam organized a one-day workshop on Clinical Updates in Ophthalmology on 29 January 2024 in its premises. The objective was to share the latest innovations and technological advancements in eye care management.
Ninety participated in the workshop. District Programmes Manager (DPMs), Paramedical Ophthalmic Officers, Kanti Velugu Para Medial Ophthalmic Assistants from six districts of North Andhra Pradesh were the delegates.
Executive Trustee Sri Krishna Kumar Atmakuri, Sri Vijaya Kumar Atmakuri, GM (Admn & Operations), Sri K Radhakrishnan, graced the occasion.
Speaking on the occasion, Sri Radhakrishnan said that Sankar Foundation has grown rapidly in the areas of OPD and clinical services and is playing a vital role in eradicating avoidable blindness in society. He acknowledged the support of DPMs and Ophthalmic Officers. He added that they are very instrumental in its growth and journey towards excellence in the eye care management of Sankar Foundation.
Dr Krishna Prasad, Dr T Raveendra, Dr Sirisha, Dr Krishna, Dr Suparna, and Dr Sowmya in their presentations explained the facilities, clinical advancements, understanding modern developments and paradigm changes in the field of ophthalmology.
Dr V Meenakshi, Superintendent, Regional Eye Hospital was felicitated. Dr GV Ramana Kumar, DPM, Anakapalle district, Dr K Sukumar Babu, DPM, Parvathipuram, Dr T Visweswarrao Naidu, DPM, ASR District were also felicitated to mark the occasion.
Sri KV Venugopal, AGM (Operations) compered the programme. Sri NA Appala Raju, Senior Manager (Outreach) welcomed the gathering. Sri V Ramesh Kumar, DGM outlined the services and facilities in the hospital. Sri K Bangar Raju, DGM (PR), doctors, a large number of Ophthalmic Officers, and Assistants participated.
